Planting Instructions
Indoors: 6-8 weeks before last frost sow seeds 1/4 - 1/2" deep into peat pots to germinate in 10 days at 70 F. 2-3 weeks before last frost transplant seedlings into garden, 2 ft. apart, in rows 2-3 ft. apart.
Outdoors: In early spring sow seeds 1/4" deep in sun & rich soil, spacing as above. Sow outdoors in spring, and again in fall in mild climates. Harvest main heads while still compact and lateral side-shoots until killing frosts occur.
Nutribud Broccoli is an early-maturing variety, having a large central head with medium-sized side shoots on vigorous, attractive plants. Unusually high in free glutamine, a building block of protein and an important healing nutrient.
Harvests of mature heads extend over about a two-week period. Plant succession crops for continuous harvests. Consistently good results. Difficult to find.

Spigariello Broccoli is also known as Minestra Nera. Instead of heads, these plants produce broccoli-flavored leaves and tops over a long season. The more you cut, the more you get! Pick them as needed for soups, stews, stir fries and salads.
The demand for this is escalating as chefs, and now gourmet cooks request it.

A Foglia di Olivo Broccoletto is a famous yet difficult to find olive leaf broccoli raab. This has a long smooth leaf shaped like an olive leaf (unlike the jagged edges normally found). 14-15 inches high with a thick stem.
Very nice taste. Like the Spigariello, used as much for the leaf production as for the shoots.
