Sweetly fragrant, the old-time Cherry Pie Heliotrope of cottage gardens has profuse clusters of deep-blue flowers exude a sweet, almond-vanilla fragrance. The graceful stems hold blooms from May to frost. Used as a hedge in Victorian days, this particular species has almost completely disappeared from the gardening scene. Attracts butterflies like mad.
