Anise hyssop is a native plant with showy lavender flowers from July-September that add a lively licorice taste to salads, fruit dishes, baked goods and drinks. Extra-sweet, anise-flavored leaves make soothing teas to settle upset stomachs, respiratory disorders and fevers. Attracts butterflies and bees, producing a fine, mildly anise-tasting honey. Root Beer Hyssop has a rich, root-beer aroma that lingers all summer from the bold brushes of lavender buds, salmon-orange flowers and the delicate blue-green foliage. The fresh and dried leaves are used to season foods and make teas.

Korean Hyssop is also known as wrinkled giant hyssop, Korean hyssop, purple giant hyssop, and Korean licorice mint. The whole plant is intensely mint scented. The aromatic licorice mint leaves are deep glossy green with hint of purple to undersides and 2-6" spikes of deep violet-blue-purple flowers will bloom all summer if deadheaded to prevent seed set.
Bushy plant grows 2 ft tall and 15 in. wide and is reported to be helpful for cold symptoms and low energy problems. Improves digestion and boosts immune system function with it's potent anti-oxidants. Use crushed leaves in poultices for bruises or small wounds to help speed healing.
Attracts bees and makes a tasty tea that helps clear the sinuses. Tolerates more moisture and humity than other hyssops making it highly suited to climates outside the Western US.
