The Kallio is a determinate tomato named for the Agricultural Extension Service Agent, Arvo Kallio, that brought it back from Alaska in the mid 1950s. He gave seeds to a friend, who kept the strain alive and gave us trial seeds.
It is a cool season tomato, being from Alaska, that flowers and sets fruit at lower temperatures than others. The fruit is medium red heart shaped, about 2-3” in diameter and will drop the fruit easily once ripe.
