The Super Sprouter Seedling Heat Mat Thermostat works with our heat/propagation mats. Simply plug your mat into the thermostat, insert the temperature probe into your soil or seedling media and use the knob to easily and closely control mat temperature and dial in the correct germination temperature.
Controlling the soil temperature for seeds is one of the biggest factors to successful seed germination for strong, healthy seedlings year after year. The thermostat stabilizes and speeds up the seed germination process, giving you a significant head start in your garden. Tomatoes and peppers need 85F soil temperature for ideal germination, and will sprout in as little as 3-5 days! Compare this to the up to 2 weeks needed for sprouting at 65-70F, which is the normal room temperature.

This all purpose kit includes 20 pellets, tray and greenhouse dome, creating the perfect seed starting chamber. The Fiber Grow pellets are made from coir (the husk of the coconut), a highly renewable resource and 100% biodegradable. Coir offers all the benefits of peat without the harmful effects on the environment, having the capacity to absorb more water and retain it longer than peat products.
The lid helps to retain humidity to speed the seeds sprout times. The tray has recesses for the Fiber Grow pellets that water the pellets evenly from the bottom, eliminating the chance of washing out the seedlings by overhead watering. Keep the pellets moist, but not wet and when needed add water to the bottom of the tray. If the tops of the pellets are slightly dry while the bottoms are still moist use a mister to moisten the tops of the pellets.
