Description
Verde Tomatillo
Incredibly productive, fruits are ripe when they burst from their husk and are light to medium green, sticky and sweet and sour. Bushy plants 3-4' across and almost as tall.
Known as tomate verde in Mexico.
Uses
Used extensively in Mexican cooking from salsas, moles and sauces to pies, jams and marinades.
Growing Tip
Tomatillo plants are self-sterile, so plant at least two.
