Joseph's Coat Amaranth - A Plant of Many Colors
Multiple branches of bright green leaves are topped by poinsettia type-flowers in show-stopping blends of red, yellow and green. Also called Summer Poinsettias, these glamorous plants make outstanding garden accents.
Brilliant bronze, gold, orange and red variegated 8" long leaves retain their coloring into late autumn. Very adaptable to hot, dry conditions.
Native to tropical Africa and Asia, this quick-growing annual has given rise to many cultivated strains, some used as a leaf vegetables, others as bedding plants with brilliantly colored leaves.
Direct sow in warm soil, mid to late spring.
