Pollinator Feast Seed Collection - Transform Your Garden

Every garden eventually hits a silent, predictable pause. It happens every year in the stretch of months between the high rush of spring fruit blossoms and the late arrival of autumn asters—a mid-season food gap where wild clover is finished, but the late-year flowers are still weeks away from cracking open. For the bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects looking for life support, a typical yard can suddenly become a green desert right when their lifecycles demand the most fuel.

Placing these five native perennials together fills that seasonal lull by creating a cooperative neighborhood where the plants look out for one another. Arranging this plant community is as simple as setting up an outdoor amphitheater, stepping the heights down from back to front so every leaf finds its perfect light.

  • The Back Row:  Place the towering ten-foot spires of the Maximilian's Sunflower and the stately seven-foot stalks of the Joe Pye Weed along your back fence or wall to stand guard against the wind and break open heavy clay below.
  • The Middle Row:  Right in front of them, let the thirty-inch Lemon Bee Balm and the upright Purple Coneflower claim the center space, using their aromatic oils and root compounds to confuse pests and clear out competing weeds.
  • The Front Row:  This leaves the sunny front edge of your garden wide open for the compact, two-foot Butterfly Milkweed, anchoring your monarch caterpillar nursery in clear view where you can watch the new life unfold.

What's Inside Our Collection?

Maximilian's Sunflower

This towering perennial rises up to ten feet tall to form a living privacy screen and a natural windbreak. The plant functions as an eco-friendly trap crop, luring aphids away from your tomatoes and peppers, while the yellow autumn blooms provide a critical late-season nectar buffet for native pollinators. (Approx 50 seeds per pack)

Joe Pye Weed

Standing up to seven feet tall, this majestic giant acts as the structural backbone for the back row of your perennial beds. In late summer, the massive mauve-pink flower domes provide a critical late-season refueling oasis for migrating monarchs and native bees, while the tan winter seed heads remain standing to feed finches. (Approx 100 seeds per pack)

Lemon Bee Balm

Growing to thirty inches tall, this solar specialist uses the peak summer heat to manufacture a dense canopy of protective essential oils. Crushing the leaves releases a sharp, lemon-mint aroma rich in citral, a natural chemical compound that confuses garden pests and actively discourages destructive tomato hornworms from settling nearby. Its tiered lavender blooms mimic the natural call pheromone of honeybees, luring native pollinators directly into your vegetable rows while the plant uses its own cooling system to stay productive during dry spells. (Approx 100 seeds per pack)

Purple Coneflower

This rugged prairie native produces its signature coppery central cone that serves as a sturdy landing pad for native bees and butterflies, while the spines invite beneficial predatory insects to manage your pest patrols. (Approx 100 seeds per pack)

Butterfly Milkweed

This flat-topped native anchors the center of your plot, serving as the exclusive biological nursery and food source for newly hatched monarch caterpillars. Bright orange flower clusters provide a high-energy fueling station for adult butterflies, while the deep central taproot mines for deep moisture reserves. (Approx 50 seeds per pack)
