Black Beauty Eggplant -  A Garden Classic

This classic beauty eggplant is the standard by which all other large eggplants are measured. Bushy spreading 24-30" tall plants with 4-6" purplish black smooth oval fruits, blunt and broad at blossom end, retains color well, 1-3 lbs. High quality, fine flavor, yields well in the North if the season is long.

Very productive and early, uniform ripening makes this the eggplant of choice by market growers and home gardeners.

Introduced in 1902 by W. Atlee Burpee.
