Twining vine to 20 ft. Large, luminous, white, clove-scented flowers, with 6 in. diameters, open at dusk, memorably scenting summer and early fall evenings. The soft, heart-shaped foliage is attractive on its own. Perennial in frost-free areas. Listed as early as 1884.
